The “ad hominem attack” is yours, claiming I said “it feels cleaner to me” when I said no such thing. My checkups are better, as I suspected they might be from the way my teeth felt. But I don’t use “it feels cleaner to me” as evidence, nor do I offer it as such.
This is the most well-known and often used tool for removing plaque. Simply pour a little baking soda into a small container, wet your toothbrush, put some baking soda on it and brush. I’d encourage you to check out the video of all the toothbrushes vibrating, they’re all labeled so you can hear what the 2 Series sounds like compared to everything else. In my experience, it was significantly quieter than any of the Oral Bs and hardly different from the rest of the Sonicares. And yes, the 2 Series’ battery is Ni Cd, which means it must be recycled in a particular way, as with Li-ion batteries. Glad you liked the guide, though!

I’m a dental hygienist and have worked in areas volunteering including in shelters where people cannot afford “regular” dental visits. But please please do not run anything acidic on your teeth and leave it there for it to scientifically proven eat away at your teeth. Baking soda does have a toothpaste but large amounts causes microabrasions in the teeth, potentially causing tooth damage and increased staining. Light toothbrushing half on the tooth half on the gums with a basic fluoridated toothpaste , floss, and listerine mouth rinse will do the tricks. These are scientifically proven recommendations. Tartar builds up from increased minerals in the saliva, it’s natural but it also builds up underneath the gums which staying there for years can cause bone loss and infection in the body. Try to go if you can save up the 120 cleaning at least once a year, and if not do your best but be careful wielding sharp picks in your mouth it took me three years of school to learn that skill 😉

The easiest way to keep your toothbrush clean is to rinse it with hot water (hot water cleans and kills germs easier) before and after brushing. Use your thumb and move it back and forth against the bristles while underneath or in water. It is important to do it before brushing as well as after because airborne bacteria or other particles such as dust may have settled on the toothbrush since your last brushing.
Brushing modes: a) Full-power mode is stated to be 25% faster than a Sonicare, which should place it in the 38,750 brush strokes per minute range. We don’t see this as a giant advantage over a Sonicare (31,000 brush strokes/min.)   b) This brush also has a reduced-power “sensitive” mode.
Dental hygienists work together with other dental professionals, with a higher number working at general practices with Dentists, dental therapists and oral health therapists.
