Compare Prices For Philips Sonicare Replacement Heads Compact |

Haha, I love the hedge hog analogy! Amazon has good prices but their new $49 minimum makes me avoid them now. Simple solution? Find the brush heads at a local Walmart, Target, or Best Buy and simply ask them to match Amazon’s price.
In light of current economic circumstances and perennial demands on tight state budgets, states will need additional support to carry out this recommendation. Therefore, the committee suggests the following as strategies:
A great price for a great product! I tried knock-off brands for replacement brushes for my Oral-B electric toothbrush, but the bristles were too hard & didn’t last as long as Oral-B brand. Generally, Oral-B replacement brush heads are a bit more expensive than the knock-offs, but well worth the price.

As much as I like the idea of having dental insurance, I eventually dropped the policy because I wasn’t saving any money in the long run. I decided I’d come out better just paying for whatever dental work I need as it comes up.
Just swishing the toothbrush around without making sure to reach all areas of the mouth. People tend to brush their teeth too fast, and end up missing spots, especially in the back of their mouth. And that’s a problem because plaque is full of harmful bacteria and it can lead to gum disease and cavities.
The federal government designates specific geographic areas, populations or facilities that have a shortage of dental health providers or health services as dental health professional shortage areas (dental HPSAs). Dental HPSAs can be in rural or urban settings. This information can help policymakers identify access and workforce challenges in their own state.

The Sonicare 3 Series also has the QuadPacer feature and the easy-start feature. The former is an automatic mode that vibrates every 30 seconds to remind you to move the brush from one set of teeth to the next. It does that 4 times per brushing. The easy-start is a mode that progressively increases the intensity of the brushing over the next 14 or so days. This allows users to slowly get to 31,000 brush strokes per minute.
There is some good news: The number of federally qualified health centers that provide dental care have increased, and 41 of 50 states have state oral health plans. There is also a bill in Congress that would widen the ACA, Medicare, Medicaid and veterans benefits to include dental health. That legislation, though, is in its very early stages.

Medium – Those with a standard Philips Sonicare often choose medium bristles as a balance between firm and soft. This type of head removes plaque quite well by asserting a little more pressure on each tooth. However, it isn’t quite as strong as firm bristles.
Keep it covered on the road, but not at home. When you travel, put your toothbrush in a travel toothbrush holder-don’t let it roll around uncovered in your suitcase or toiletry bag where it can pick up dust, dirt, and bacteria. But don’t store a toothbrush in a toothbrush holder at home-the chronically moist environment can promote bacteria growth. If you must use a covered toothbrush holder frequently, look for one with small holes to let air in. When at home, store your toothbrush upright in a cup or a toothbrush holder that allows it to air dry and has several openings to keep multiple toothbrushes separate.
One of the other main features of the Sonicare Flexcare Platinum is the ‘Built-in pressure sensor’, which alerts the user when they are using too much pressure during brushing.  This is certainly something which not all of the competition have incorporated into their ranges, and in the opinion of the author this could be the secret to the success of electric toothbrushes.  The problem of patients brushing much too hard, or even more commonly brushing the outside much too hard and barely touching the inside surfaces, is enormous.
As the son of a dentist (sounds bad, doesn’t it!) I can attest to people not brushing enough… I saw this many times, self-reported from patients. The timer helps, but I don’t believe that this is the only factor.

This article mentions how dental insurance hasn’t always been so readily available. Without dental insurance there are many dental improvements that the average person could not afford. The cost of a crown or an implant is more than I would want to have to pay out of my pocket.
Oral infections, such as tooth decay and gum disease, can have reaching impacts into the health of the rest of the body. Oral health disease prevention measures are especially important for children to ensure proper oral health in the future. Dental disease is the most common chronic illness for children in the United States. Dental disease is preventable, yet dental care is the most common unmet health treatment need in children. Untreated dental problems can lead to pain, weight loss, missed school days, poor appearance, decreased self-esteem and even death. Policymakers consider many oral health issues including access to dental health care, oral health workforce issues, and water fluoridation.
The Pro 1000 is rated to last for seven days of brushing sessions on one charge; in our real-world testing, it lasted for 11½ days, which is average for a brush in this price range. Like the more expensive models we tested, the brush survived its drop test, fits in its charging cradle well, and can switch out brush heads easily. Oral-B changes the name of this brush about once a year, but functionally the entire series remains pretty much the same.
There’s no need to replace the heads when they get dirty. Just soak them in cup with 25% bleach and 75% water for 15 minutes and they’ll be good as new. I’ve been doing this for years and they haven’t worn out yet.
Reminder bristles ensure your most effective clean At first glance it may not be obvious, but brush heads lose stiffness and gradually wear down over months of normal use. Blue reminder bristles fade to white and help you recognise when it’s time for a replacement. For optimal results, replace your brush head every three months.

A well-balanced oral microbiome is important for optimal health. Periodontal disease and Type 2 diabetes are strongly connected. Twice-daily use of mouthwash has also been linked to an increased risk of Type 2 diabetes — an effect thought to be due to its antimicrobial activity

I have owned 2 lower cost Oral B brushes over the last 2 or 3 years. Previously my more expensive model lasted for a few years before not taking any recharge. I don’t have the receipt so not sure how long the cheaper ones lasted but I think it is about a year. I wondered if it is a cheaper battery but you say they are cadmium (NiCd) rather than the top end ones being Lithium. My latest one stopped after recharging in Bali. Is the voltage difference a possible cause? I would have charged the previous one over there as well. Or is it more likely a cheaper quality battery? As the action is inferior I will try the one you recommend but need to find out about Bali voltage and will keep my receipt incase it stops after one year.
But what really mattered was the quality of the cleaning and, wow, it was a huge difference– night and day. It does take some getting use to– the vibration cleaning as opposed to the Oral B’s mechanical cleaning– but it make my teeth feel like I just got a professional cleaning. Amazing difference. And what felt a bit cheaper out-of-the box– the more lightweight plastic feel– is actually a plus now, I like it being not as heavy as the Oral B.
I’ve had this toothbrush for 2 days only but I can feel a huge difference with my teeth already. The bristles are perfect for me and my teeth feel like I just got a cleaning from the dentist. I’ve never had a vibrating (sonic) tooth brush before usually I get a cheap rotating one at Wal-Mart. It defiantly feels weird the first few times you use it. It tickles your tongue and the inside of your mouth. I’ve gotten used to it but some may not. It came with 3 brush heads and 1 cleaning attachment. It’s very well made and not too heavy and will stand on your sink top without falling over. I’ve never owned a more expensive branded sonic tooth brush but I don’t know how they can be any better than this one especially for the price. So far the only con I have is
DiamondClean – The DiamondClean Sonicare toothbrush head is one of the most popular brush heads in the Sonicare range. It is able to remove up to 7 times more plaque than you would be able to clean using a standard manual toothbrush. This brush head is so effective at removing plaque and stains that within just 1 week of beginning to use this brush head, you can expect to have removed 100% of the stained from your teeth. There are no other brush heads on the market today that can offer you such great results when it comes to cleaning your teeth for a whiter smile.
To potentially enhance the teeth whitening process an electric toothbrush can be a great option.  There are many benefits to an electric toothbrush, but one of the overriding reasons is the enhanced clean that it gives.
People with periodontal disease are two times more likely to develop heart disease and arterial narrowing as a result of bacteria and plaque entering the bloodstream through the gums. The bacteria contains a clot-promoting protein that can clog arteries, leading to an increased risk of heart attack. In addition, if high levels of disease-causing bacteria from the mouth clog the carotid artery – the blood vessel that delivers blood to the brain and head – it could increase the risk of having a stroke.
The numbness has worn off, the side they cleaned doesn’t hurt at all. Two weeks from now they’ll do the other side plus do filling and extract a wisdom tooth. Two weeks ago they extracted a cracked molar. They did job excellent job on that.
Seeing a dentist regularly helps to keep your mouth in top shape and allows your dentist to watch for developments that may point to other health issues. A dental exam can also detect poor nutrition and hygiene, growth and development problems and improper jaw alignment. Provide your dentist with a complete medical history and inform him or her of any recent health developments, even if they seem unrelated to your oral health.
