Sonicare Essence is also one of the best most popular models in the Sonicare line. It’s also designed for thorough cleaning, but it’s not as advanced as the other two toothbrushes we have mentioned. This sonic toothbrush is suitable for those that are looking for the best Sonicare toothbrush model on a budget as it comes at a much lower price.
Many children and adults still go without simple measures that have been proven effective in preventing oral diseases and reducing dental care costs. For example, fluoride prevents tooth decay, and the most cost-effective way to deliver the benefits of fluoride to all residents of a community is through water fluoridation; that is, adjusting the fluoride in the public water supply to the appropriate level for decay prevention. Dental sealants, plastic coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth where most decay occurs, are another safe, effective way to prevent cavities. However, only about one-third of children aged 6–19 years have sealants. Although children from lower income families are almost twice as likely to have decay as those from higher income families, they are only half as likely to have sealants.
They are actually quieter and vibrates less than older models including DiamondClean. I do not know if they simply swapped connecting part or they did redesign entire upper half; but it is smooth. It may be that since it is bigger, it acts as a better counterbalance to vibration.
Electric toothbrushes are not any more effective at cleaning teeth than regular manually-operated ones. However, some people find that they are inclined to brush their teeth more regularly and for longer when they own an electric toothbrush, so investing in one may not be a bad idea.
Brushing modes: a) Full-power mode is stated to be 25% faster than a Sonicare, which should place it in the 38,750 brush strokes per minute range. We don’t see this as a giant advantage over a Sonicare (31,000 brush strokes/min.) b) This brush also has a reduced-power “sensitive” mode.
Tartar, also known as calculus, is a form of dental plaque that has hardened. This hardening occurs when your saliva and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) deposit minerals. Tartar is composed of a combination organic components (cells and their extracellular matrices) and inorganic substances. Its inorganic component largely consists of four types of calcium phosphate crystals: octocalcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite, whitlockite, and brushite.
Nothing but frustration with Phillips USA that owns Sonicare. My product failed and at first Phillips said they would do nothing. Then they agreed to replace it, but sent me a computer battery instead. Then they sent 3 Sonicare AIrfloss. I had to go to the post office four times to return items they sent by mistake. My chats and calls to the company were disconnected. Promises were made then rescinded. In frustration I wrote the CEO about the hours of my time they wasted with their compounded mistakes. Mr Brent Shafer, the CEO waited weeks before they would respond and all they would do is of free couple brush heads – not appropriate in my book given the massive amount of time and frustration they caused me.
Studies have found that electronic, or powered, toothbrushes may get rid of plaque better than manual models. No matter which type you use, be sure it has the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of approval. These have undergone rigorous quality control and safety tests.
So I’ve been using the Smileactives Vibrite Sonic Toothbrush and really like it. But you didn’t even look at it? Or did you? I’m curious as to what you think if it. It has all the mandatory features you list and I really like the UV sanitizing storage case that is supposed to keep the brush head clean. Plus it’s designed for whitening. Your thoughts on this one? https://smileactives.com/vibrite-sonic-teeth-whitening-toothbrush/
The researchers incubated the macrophages for a few hours with amyloid beta. To some of the cells they then added either an active form of vitamin D3, or an active form of omega 3 DHA, and watched what effect this had on inflammation and the ability of the macrophages to absorb amyloid beta.
The first independent non-military training began in 1994. Otago Polytechnic began offering a 15-month Certificate in Dental Hygiene in Dunedin. In 1998, the programme was modified to be a 2-year Diploma. Otago Polytech stopped offering the course in 2000. The following year, University of Otago began offering a 2-year Diploma in Dental Hygiene qualification. In 2002, the university added a 3-year Bachelor of Health Sciences (endorsed in Dental Hygiene) degree alongside the Diploma. This course was discontinued in 2007, when the current 3 year Bachelor of Oral Health commenced.
The overall appearance of the station is quite nice. It is not bulky or heavy, and it’s simple to use and operate. The brush has two speed levels. For me, the main power level tickles my gums, so I use the sensitive setting and it works much better.
In addition, we invested over 50 hours in researching, evaluating, and testing the best powered toothbrushes widely available to find the best one. (On a personal note, the last time I went to get my teeth cleaned, both the dentist and hygienist tripped over themselves to compliment the condition of my teeth, even though I hadn’t gotten a cleaning in three years, drink coffee every day, and eat healthy sums of candy.)

I have been using the Deep Sweep for about 6 months now and while I agree it’s better than the Sonicare I previously had, I’m surprised you don’t mention how filthy it gets. Maybe I need to work on my brushing etiquette but I find the handle gets super gunky and on top of that, is hard to rinse because of the crevices.
Most of the current higher-end Sonicares either are or were top-of-the-line models, or at least introduced some new brushing feature. There seemed to be a natural migration of models on down the Sonicare line up as each successive newer one was introduced.

Without proper treatment, tartar and plaque can lead to a variety of issues like cavities, gum disease and tooth loss. It’s important to brush twice a day and floss once a day, and schedule regular checkups and professional cleanings with your dentist.
From associate’s degrees to master’s degrees, you’ll have plenty of dental hygienist schooling options to choose from. Weigh the differences between the programs to decide which one will bring you closer to your career goals.
The DiamondClean and DiamondClean Smart lines are the slimmest/sleekest of the Sonicares. However, all of the more modern Sonicares (including the models you mention) are much slimmer than the models of yesteryear (some of which are still sold). Many retailers have “dummy” Sonicare models on display so you can hold them (Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc…).
Was sold a counterfeit product by Office Supply Experts. The heads rubber seal broke much sooner than normal, and the fit with the toothbrush was loose. Upon further inspection, I see the heads say PHILLIPS sonicare on them, but the official ones are supposed to say E-series. BEWARE!
Features such as timers, UV sterilizers, and smartphone connectivity are as useful as your iPhone’s Siri feature. They might be cool to have, so you can tell your friends about. But, at the end of the day, they fail to add any real value to essential goal of a toothbrush, which is cleaning teeth.
Considering that this model is priced under $80, it does come with some cool features. Included are Philips’ SmartTimer, which automatically turns the toothbrush off after 2 minutes. I am not entirely sure I loved this feature, though. In order to continue brushing, the user needs to press the start button again. No biggie, but a bit unnecessary.
Unlike most sonic toothbrushes, this one will cost you less than $100. In most cases, when manufacturers cut the cost, the available features and modes are simultaneously cut. So, we end up having a basic electronic toothbrush. What we admire most about Brio, is their innovative ability to keep the price low, but still, offer some advanced features.
The Dental Hygiene program offers a rigorous, intensive, science-based curriculum, balanced with personal development, creating a whole person educational approach. Graduates are awarded an Associate’s in Applied Science degree and become eligible to take the written and clinical exams necessary to obtain a license in Dental Hygiene.
Using Magnesium oil sprayed onto your toothbrush instead of toothpaste will remove calcium deposits, remove fluoride damage, re-build enamel and whiten teeth…although not whiten as effectively as baking soda.
Upon speaking to Philips regarding Sonicare 3 series HX3361/02 and Healthy White HX6731/02. Trying to get how low, med, high on 3 series compares to Healthy White sen, clean/white, clean. I was told told they match up the same…..every choice has 31,000 brush strokes per minute but just vary with intensity ….and that is what trying to get answer….what are the intensities?

Our point here would be that you owe it to yourself to perform some experimentation. Don’t just use a Standard-size head one because you think you should. Experiment and determine which seems best to you.
I have never experienced electric tooth brushes until i come across this post. Anyhow i feel they are doing great in arriving at the corners, which would be useful than manual brushing. Your share truly helped me to come up with good knowledge. I generally lean toward the
Note: We did bring in one toothbrush without a rechargeable battery, the Quip (which does send replacement batteries). One of two top-rated subscription brushes (the other was the Goby) we brought in to see how these services, which send replacement heads every 3 months, measured up against traditional models. (Spoiler alert: We weren’t impressed).
Fun Features: KidTimer – Increases brushing time slowly over 90 days, building towards the dentist recommended 2 minutes, KidPacer – Fun sounds encourage kids to brush the front and back of both upper and lower teeth
