Dependable Philips Sonicare Intercare Brush Heads |

We have an oral health crisis in Vermont. Thousands of Vermonters go without needed dental care every single year — in 2011 and 2012, nearly 100,000 people didn’t get care. And, if you live in Vermont and you get your dental insurance through Medicaid or Dr. Dynasaur, you are even more likely to go without the dental care you need.
Although plenty of adults tell their dentists that they floss daily, most of them stretch the truth for immediate approval during their checkup. A national survey of over 2,000 adults actually found that more than one in four people lie to their dentists about how much they floss.
This powered brush was specifically designed to get kids excited each time they’re brushing their teeth and to encourage proper and healthy brushing habits. It does all that with its useful unique features.
The Philips Sonicare 2 Series is one of the least expensive brushes in Sonicare’s line, but still has a two-minute timer, rechargeable battery, and makes less noise than our Oral-B pick. This pick has a smaller range of brush textures and shapes, but they are all soft and serviceable.
This year’s annual meeting expanded on the message “Equality doesn’t mean Equity”. It fulfilled its goal of tackling disparities by teaching oral health advocates how to work towards equality and how to promote equity by giving everyone the same oral health opportunities.
Similar to endodontists, these specialists – one of nine such unique fields recognized by the American Dental Association – utilize machinery to treat and diagnose patients. Specifically, these dentists make use of radiographic imaging to treat those diseases and ailments that impact the teeth, mouth and the maxillofacial region, which consists of the face and jaw. While X-rays are a popular option, OMRs also rely on plain and computed tomography, MRIs, ultrasounds and other forms of digital imaging. OMRs are among the first adaptors of new technology, using innovations in the field of imaging to find increasingly effective ways at understanding the impact of oral disease and what that means to patients.
The product needs to be charged for at least 24 hours in order to fully charge the battery. The product may still deliver up to an additional 12 uses after the battery indicator has first started to flash in an amber color. The amber color is an indicator that the handle needs to be charged. When charging multiple products be sure to have them sufficiently spaced apart [at least six inches]; when placed closer together, products may not charge correctly.
I’m all about my black tea and my lattes. My teeth like them less than I do and tend to stain. Electric toothbrushes are more expensive than traditional brushes, but my electric toothbrush does such a better job at keeping my smile white than my manual brushes ever did. A medium latte from a certain national chain that rhymes with “car ducks” costs around four dollars so I’m going to break down these brushes to how many lattes they would cost to show just how worth it these electric toothbrushes really are.

When you are pregnant, address medical concerns immediately, including toothaches. What seems to be just a minor annoyance could turn into an oral infection that can spread throughout your body and to your baby. Do not wait for your next checkup to address oral concerns. Call your dentist right away. The National Maternal and Child Oral Health Policy Center reminds women that it is not uncommon for gums to swell during pregnancy. This can lead to gingivitis and, if not treated, periodontal disease or tooth loss. X-rays, the use of local anesthesia and some pain medications are safe during pregnancy, according to the center, so there is no excuse to avoid prenatal dental care.
The toothbrush’s effectiveness is compromised too (because its lower vibratory rate creates less of a “non-contact” brushing effect, the phenomenon where a toothbrush can disrupt plaque beyond where its bristles actually touch).

Maintaining good oral health includes keeping teeth free from cavities and preventing gum disease. Poor oral health can affect your appearance and self-esteem, and has been linked to sleeping problems, as well as behavioural and developmental problems in children. Poor oral health can also affect your ability to chew and digest food properly. Good nutrition is important to helping build strong teeth and gums that can resist disease and promote healing.
That’s a great question. The Professional Care 1000 and the Deep Sweep 1000 are actually the same model, they are just packaged with different brush heads. This model has 20,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute.
Another question, I have a pretty old model (Triumph 9000) that is obviously no longer available or even the 9400 which was a slightly more advanced version. These are probably 10 years old. These are not the same as the new Genius 9000. Anyway, any idea what the statistics (brush oscillation speed) are for that old model.

I agree wholeheartedly LedBoots!  I have done the same at the grocery store where I shop.  I talked to the management and requested a few vegan items to be added.  One was tempeh, and another was SoDelicious Coconut milk yogurts.  Neither had previously been available at the stores I frequent.  Both were on the shelves within a month and have remained there.  My next request is going to be vegan mayonnaise and millet in the bulk section.  lol.  Management has been very open and willing to work with me.  I think this has been more effective for promoting plant based eating and animal ethics than boycotting the store altogether.
Consider the deal as a whole.  Does the price, product, reviews all sound too good to be true and you seem to be getting the bargain of the century.  It is usually an indicator that something is not quite right.

Writer Jen Doll found a toothpaste that whitens without harming delicate enamel: “Unlike traditional whitening toothpastes that use peroxide, Opalescence removes surface stains (up to two shades in a month) by scrubbing them away with silica. But — and this is key — it’s not so abrasive that you can’t use it every day.” Read more about the best whitening toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
Triple pressure sensor. To keep your gums healthy, a pressure sensor will alert you when you’ve overbrushed your gums. This keeps your teeth and gums in optimal health and prevents causing unnecessary damage by such a powerful device.
It’s common for indemnity insurance and preferred-provider (PPO’s) plans to provide coverage at around 70 to 80% of your dentist’s bill (using either a “UCR” or “Table of Allowances” calculation – see below). And in many cases it may even run 100%.
Maintaining good oral hygiene can be quite a struggle for some people, but brushing and flossing are essential to fight cavities and gum disease. If you don’t enjoy doing these tasks manually, then you might want to try one of the electric toothbrushes or water flossers available from Walgreens. Designed to reduce the effort it takes to clean your teeth, these products are also more effective for many individuals.

Each Oral-B electric toothbrush head focuses on a slightly different type of cleaning. The Sensitive Clean electric toothbrush head has gentle bristles that power away gunk for a thorough clean. The Ortho electric toothbrush head features an orthodontic bristle trim specially designed to clean around delicate orthodontic work, such as braces. For more information about available replacement brush heads, reference the Comparison Chart above.
By week at the conclusion of the study, each test subject would be evaluated and the amount of papillary bleeding tracked to determine which power toothbrush did a superior job at removing plaque and tartar from the interior and exterior of the teeth, and reversing swollen gums from the baseline measurement.
Participants of the study were recruited between 2009 and 2012. Participants were eligible for the study if they were able to communicate in English, were between the ages of 25–64 years old, lived in their neighbourhood for at least 6 months, and were a resident of the home. Further details on study procedures can be obtained elsewhere [23].
Why this is important:- General dental practices are run as businesses and practitioners are independent contractors to the NHS. Some successful NHS dental practices provide preventive dentistry, others struggle to provide these services. This is particularly the case in low socioeconomic areas, where patients attend irregularly (or cannot afford to attend) or do not place a high priority on disease prevention.

The group of variables referent to predisposing factors (most distal factors) included gender, age (35–39 and 40–44 years of age), education level (none, 1–4, 5–8, 9–11, and 12–15 complete years of study), race/color (whites, dark-skinned blacks, other – which included Asian descendants, light-skinned blacks, and Amerindians), and the number of household residents (from 1 to 4 people and more than 4).
By week 10,  researchers found that the study subjects who used the Rotating/oscillating toothbrush had 16% fewer swollen and bleeding gum sites as compared to the test subjects who used the Sonic toothbrush with only 3.5% fewer swollen and bleeding gum sites.
The Oral-B website no longer provides a comparison of battery life between its models. But we have found retailer information that suggests that the Pro 7000 and 5000 will last for 10 “days” between charges. The 3000 just for 7 days. The Genius Pro 8000 and Pro 6000 for 12 (the only Oral-B’s to have a lithium-ion battery instead of a NiMH one).

It’s important to keep your toothbrush clean as bathrooms harbor a lot of bacteria. Regularly wash your electric toothbrush’s head in bleach and water. While cleaning the toothbrush head, wipe down the handle with your bleach and water solution as well. Periodically replace your electric toothbrush’s head as it becomes dirty and the bristles lose stiffness.
Takeaway: Reviewers rave about the Brio SmartClean, with comfort and impressive battery life singled out for special praise. The tradeoff for the bigger battery is a handle that’s on the heavier side. Users also like the round charging base with holders for two brush heads and the affordable price for replacement heads.
