Perhaps you’ve met a dentist with whom you feel comfortable. Not only that, but this dentist’s payment options are suitable for your finances. However, don’t be so quick to make a final decision, as other factors may influence your choice. Is the dentist’s office nearby, or do you have to drive out of your way? Is the office open at a time that will fit the rest of your schedule? How much flexibility will the dentist’s staff offer in booking appointments? Though seemingly trivial, these factors are nonetheless important.

It’s unfortunate there isn’t better information on the possible benefits of the “sonic” cleaning action. If I read correctly, the difference is ~30k per minute frequency vs ~3k per minute, the higher frequency naturally being accompanied by smaller vibration amplitudes. It’s easy to imagine that as the brush head moves over a surface, each point on that surface is “agitated” many more times, on a different scale of movement, making for a radically different mechanical cleaning action.
Choosing the right toothbrush can make a difference for the health of your whole mouth. That’s why Oral-B offers a variety of electric toothbrush heads to fit your specific needs. So make the right choice..

The development of artificial water fluoridation began in 1945 in the Grand rapid Michigan followed by Newburgh, New York and Evanston, Illinois.[17] In 1955 three towns Watford, Kilmarnock and Anglesey trialled the water fluoridation implementation scheme.[14] In 1960 the Republic of Ireland implemented all public water supplies with artificial fluoridated water and four years later extending this into the main cities of Dublin and Cork.[14]
For this list we evaluated 10 different electric toothbrushes provided by three of the top-selling manufacturers on shelves today: Phillips (Sonicare), Braun (Oral-B), and Waterpik. In the case of Oral-B we saw a range of different models meant to penetrate the market at every price level, while Sonicare broadened that spread a bit with only two models: their budget pick (the 2 Series), and a top-the-line option (the DiamondClean).
Sonicare kids App: It is a great innovation for the children’s electric toothbrush! This APP contains a comprehensive coach session; it integrated with KidTimer and KidPacer, tracks the brushing time and brushing areas through the monitoring system. This technology helps make sure that your children pay equal attention to every area of their mouth for a clean that is as thorough as possible and remind them to brush at least 2 minutes each time. It is an excellent way for your children to establish a healthy brushing routine early on, and of course, it will also help them to drastically reduce the risk of cavities.

Lastly, I wish they’ bring the LiOn battery to a more basic, reasonably priced brush. The app and all that is a novelty at best. I lose interest after a week and basically use it on only a single mode. It seems Braun thinks this should be some sort of minicomputer with so many functions It’s a toothbrush! Make one with a brushless motor and a larger LiOn battery that last more than 2 weeks and charge around $50.
Poor oral health has been a persistent problem in nursing home residents for decades, with severe consequences for residents and the health care system. Two major barriers to providing appropriate oral care are residents’ responsive behaviors to oral care and residents’ lack of ability or motivation to perform oral care on their own.
A minor concern is some water/toothpaste get under the toothbrush head, and onto the arm that moves the head/bristles; I try to air that out often, for fear of the mold growth that plagues certain toothbrushes.
Pediatric primary care providers can play an important role in oral health screening, family education, and regular dental referrals. This is critical for low-income and minority children, who have higher rates of dental disease than those from wealthier families. Our advice would be to expect on average 3 years from the brush and if you get more from it then fantastic.  Avoid buying a brush expecting it to last 10 years.  Don’t get us wrong it would be great if they lasted a minimum of 5 years but on the whole for the value you get from them they often work out very cost effective.
5. Level up your oral hygiene. Brush and floss after meals. Scrape your tongue. Sounds simple, but the better your oral hygiene is, the easier teeth cleanings are. When you’re not in the habit of flossing, teeth cleanings are going to be painful. Flossing does 40% of the job in cleaning plaque off your teeth, so skipping it will make it so there’s a lot more for the hygienist to clean. If you hate flossing, try using a flossing stick.
When you brush your teeth, your goal is to remove as much plaque as possible. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), plaque is a bacteria-filled, translucent substance that coats the teeth and gums. Removing plaque by brushing helps keep teeth healthy and cavity-free. You and your children should brush your teeth for a minimum of two minutes. During brushing, you should brush the inside, outside and top of every tooth with short back-and-forth motions. Remember to brush your teeth gently, however, because rigorous brushing can irritate the gums. Don’t forget to brush soft tissues as well, including the gum line and your tongue, to remove as much oral bacteria as possible. To help clean your entire mouth, consider using the Colgate® 360°® toothbrush with a built-in tongue and cheek cleaner.

The unit is waterproof except for a small gap where the metal swiveling arm protrudes from the top. Small amounts of water may enter there, so after brushing and removing the toothbrush head, I turn the unit upside down (metal probe extended downwards), turn the unit on, and shake to remove any water that may have made its way down,
But all these great features come with a price. Electric toothbrushes are considerably more expensive than manual brushes, with some brands really going all the way up to the extreme price range. However, if you come to think of the features and how they ensure that your teeth and gums are super clean, you will know that buying one is totally worth it.
