Compared with other toothbrushes, the motion was a little violent.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love these things when they work. But they are exceptionally unreliable. Reading the comments and reviews on Amazon, it appears I’m not alone. However, it also appears their competitors suffer from the same issues of reliability. When you are sick there may be more pathogenic bacteria than normal, and when you brush your teeth some of that bacteria is collected on the toothbrush. Studies have not been done to show how much is left after you rinse your toothbrush and if it would be enough to cause you to get sick again in the future or not. Tooth decay is the most common global disease.[3] Over 80% of cavities occur inside fissures in teeth where brushing cannot reach food left trapped after eating and saliva and fluoride have no access to neutralize acid and remineralize demineralized teeth, unlike easy-to-clean parts of the tooth, where fewer cavities occur.
